This past weekend we drove to Indiana to see Aaron and Chika. We walked by a beautiful river. The city has done a very nice job of making it a cool place to go. On the way back they were setting off fireworks for a baseball game so we got to watch those. We went to an awesome architecheral salvage place and nearly got lost in all of the stuff we wanted. It was muggy and hot, but we walked through two warehouses and three yards looking at beautiful junk! We went to a Louiville Bats baseball game and Lindsey slept, but that's ok, the Bats were losing. The characters that came out between innings though were well worth the time...cute! That pitcher sure was good at hitting the bat!!hahahaha!
We went to the Panosonic Extreme skateboarding event. It was live on ABC or NBC. That was neat. The music was loud! The skaters were awesome. I tried to take some pics, but they did not turn out very well. Lindsey slept through the whole thing!
We went to a resteraunt called Charlie's. They serve hot buttery honey rolls while you wait. Lindsey had an explosion so I spent 15 minutes in the restroom trying to clean us up. Chika and Aaron babysat while TJ and I went to Maker's Mark resteraunt. We had Salmon and Tuna SpringStix. They were sushi, but fried! We loved the place and thought of many other people that would enjoy the food, drinks, and atmosphere. It was so nice of Aaron and Chika to babysit. Lindsey played for a few minutes and then fell asleep. She may have given them a false sense of parenting (This is easy!!). Actually, they played with her the whole time we were there and they did a wonderful job. She never had to be sent to the basement.
Speaking of the basement, Aaron and Chika's house is very nice. They have painted and decorated nicely. I love the kitchen and the deck. I wish we could've grilled, but it rained quite a bit. The basement is going to be sweet! Aaron has already made a very cute laundry room. It was so cute I would even iron down there!
Lindsey is crawling quickly and fearlessly. She is also trying to stand up on everything.
We are home and Rommel is very happy to see us. We thought for sure he floated away in all the rain water.
