You would think

You would think that since I don't have a job I would have plenty of time to update my blog. Well, welcome to Lindsey's world! She has been going to bed later, waking up earlier and skipping her second nap. The only thing I can count on is her 10-12 nap. Then, instead of working, I sit on the couch and zone out. When she is awake, she is on the move- crawling from one thing to another. She is fun; she has such a personality! She sings and talks a lot. I don't know how single mothers do this! Since she pulls up on everything I am afraid to leave her by herself so I take her everywhere: garage, feed the dog, bathroom!! We are both looking forward to TJ returning from Parsons.
We have also been traveling a lot. We visited Kansas City for the Fourth of July. We went to a party at Aunt Sue's house. Lindsey was an angel. She was held by many strangers, but she just smiled. Lindsey didn't get any margaritas, but they sure were great! We went to lunch with Aunt Andrea, Gracey, and Great Aunt Linda. We had a lovely dinner at Red Snapper with Kyra and Jerry while Ky, Kellyn, and Caroline babysat Lindsey. That restaurant is awesome! If you like Asian food, you must go. It was so nice to go out with Kyra and Jerry and talk about grown up things (not toys or milestones). Next time we go to KC we will take pics. of their new house. It is coming along so nicely! TJ made a great pork tenderloin with orzo. WOW! No wonder I can't lose weight.
We are on our way to Coffeyville for Kim's shower this weekend. Back to KC next weekend. Intel Class that week. School starts Aug. 11 for teachers. Where does summer go?
My best friend from high school, Mandi Waller, just had her first baby! She had a healthy baby boy: Riley Thomas Waller. We visited them today and took pics. I will put them on the blog later. He has nice black hair and adorable hands. I wondered how I would feel holding a baby. Would I want another one? Is it too soon? How would Lindsey react? I felt fine, not ready for another one, it's way too soon. Lindsey was very interested in him, and mildly jealous. She told Mandi all sorts of stories while I held Riley.
Well, we are off again! Time for piano lessons.
I need ideas for book club!! Read any good books lately?
